Moderator Guidelines
Effective Date: May 21, 2026
These Moderator Guidelines are intended to support thoughtful, respectful, and constructive participation within commonsense20.com, CS2.0AI, GRES (Guided Reflective Exploration System), Learning Lab systems, and future community interaction features.
The purpose of moderation is not to enforce ideological agreement.
The purpose is to help maintain a space that encourages:
-
thoughtful exploration,
-
respectful engagement,
-
intellectual humility,
-
and constructive civic participation.
Core Moderation Philosophy
Moderation should seek to:
-
reduce hostility,
-
encourage respectful interaction,
-
maintain platform integrity,
-
support thoughtful engagement over performative conflict or hostility.
Moderators should attempt to apply standards consistently and in good faith.
Community Standards
Moderators may take action regarding content involving:
-
harassment,
-
threats,
-
hate speech,
-
targeted attacks,
-

-
unlawful activity,
-

Disagreement alone is not considered a violation.
Encouraged Participation
The platform encourages users to:
-
ask questions,
-
explore perspectives,
-
discuss issues respectfully,
-
and remain open to continued learning.
Moderators should recognize that thoughtful disagreement may still contribute positively to the platform.
AI-Assisted Features
As AI-assisted interaction evolves through CS2.0AI and GRES systems, moderators should recognize:
-
AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies,
-
AI responses may vary,
-
and AI-assisted exploration is intended to support reflection rather than certainty.
Moderators may intervene where AI-assisted features are being used in ways that intentionally disrupt constructive participation or platform integrity.
Moderation Actions
Moderation actions may include:
-
content removal,
-
warnings,
-
temporary participation limits,
-
suspension of accounts,
-
or permanent account restrictions where necessary to maintain platform standards.

Moderators are encouraged to approach interactions with:
-
patience,
-
fairness,
-
restraint,
-
and respect.
The platform seeks to avoid unnecessary escalation whenever possible.
Evolving Platform
As community systems, AI-assisted interaction, subscriptions, and Learning Lab features continue developing, moderation practices and related guidelines may also evolve over time.
